The two officially supported web browsers we are going to support are Firefox and Chrome (but we will try to get it working on others as well). When we get into VR, there are some VR specific browsers that we'll support at that point. When the game becomes available in VR, there will be an option to play in VR, and an option to play on your non-VR computer (desktop/laptop/tablet), and all members of the group will need to be one or the other (VR or not VR). An additional requirement is that GPU must be enabled in your browser settings during game play. This is the only way for the web assembly based game to render on your GPU, which is necessary for this type of game. The browser vendors want to provide you with "secure by default" safe environment for your browsing since GPUs could possibly be exploited by attackers. We're certainly not out to attack your or exploit you in any way. It's just something that is required for you to "opt-in" with regards to security. View the Terms & Conditions page to learn a few ways we protect against security attacks on the WebAssembly file that the game is loaded from.
